Date Line

The International Date Line is an imaginary line on the earth’s surface that generally follows the 180° meridian of longitude. This meridian is exactly halfway around (or on the opposite side of) the globe from the Prime Meridian, designated as 0° longitude.

Daylight saving time

Many countries, and sometimes just certain regions of countries, adopt daylight saving time (DST), also known as summertime, during part of the year. This typically involves advancing clocks by an hour near the start of spring and adjusting back in autumn (“spring forward,” “fall back”).
