Rabies is a viral disease of mammals usually transmitted through an infected animal’s bite, most commonly dogs. The virus affects the central nervous system causing brain alteration and death. Symptoms of the Rabies initially are non-specific, fever and headache progressing to neurological symptoms. Death occurs within days of the onset of symptoms.
