We love maps!
People have been in the age of prehistoric times trying to draw their environment. In the beginning, only the forests around the cave and other surrounding places included in these drawings, and as the traffic, the disciplines, and the size of the known areas known, parallel increased rapidly, the maps we have known.
Modern cartography linked to the name of Rumold Mercator; he made the first map collection. The collections of maps, of course, was still incomplete. There is no full map today since there are any advanced techniques available to explore, think of the unknown waters of the oceans…
In any case, we can say that we love the maps.
The maps are not only good for geography but also other global facts. Their store is almost inexhaustible. We can show population density, average temperature, precipitation, the per capita GDP, the number of births per capita… almost anything.
Color maps give us an aesthetic experience beyond carrying scientific knowledge.
Alastair Bonnett New views: The world’s Mapped Like Never Before works on the topic show some imaginative, scientific, and beautiful maps showing the planet Earth in different aspects.
From these scientific and art-worthy maps, here are a few cheer-seekers (we will add more maps regularly):
